D365 CE Functional Consultant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) Functional Consultant to join our D365 SA team in Sandton.
The role requires someone who can independently deliver D365 solutions across the full functional lifecycle — from requirements and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment and production support — while helping strengthen functional capability across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into practical, sustainable D365 solutions
• Lead functional delivery across requirements, design, configuration, testing, UAT, deployment and production support
• Configure Dynamics 365 CE, Dataverse and Power Platform, applying a configuration-first approach
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects and integration teams
• Assess data, integration and release impacts
• Produce clear functional documentation, user stories and solution designs
• Mentor and support less experienced functional consultants

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consulting experience
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Sales and/or Customer Service
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform
• Proven ability to independently deliver across the full D365 lifecycle
• Strong business analysis, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of integrations, ALM and production deployments
• Experience with Customer Insights – Journeys, Azure DevOps and relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous
• Proficiency in using AI-enabled productivity tools, such as Copilot, to improve efficiency, generate insight and support decision-making. Applies critical thinking and sound judgement when interpreting outputs, remains accountable for the quality and accuracy of their work
